OUR FIRM’S SPONSORED SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS CEREMONY,TIRANA, 16.12.2016

On Friday December 16th 2016, in a beautiful ceremony at the Tirana University, honored by the presence of the Ambassador of Greece Mrs. Eleni Sourani, Mr. Efthymios Navridis awarded scholarships in two distinguished students of the department for Greek Studies.

The awarding of scholarships took place in a hall crowded by both students and Professors of the Greek studies Department in the presence of Mr. Mynyr Koni, dean of the University and Mrs. Sofia Deligiorgi, Head of the Slavic and Balkan languages Section.

In his warm speech Mr. Mynyr Koni thanked Mr. Navridis for sponsoring the scholarships and wished a happy new year for all the students.

Mrs. Ambassador thanked also our company and particularly Mr. Navridis, for his kind gesture, urging upon the fact that the presence of many Greek enterprises in Albania, which today account for 26% of the foreign investment in the country, can guarantee the employment of a large number of Department’s graduates.

Finally Professor Mrs. Sofia Deligiorgi, said that to her knowledge it is the first time where student scholarships in this department are sponsored by an individual.

Mr. Efthymios Navridis thanked the dean and the Department Professors accordingly, stating that he considers the acceptance of his sponsoring to be a great honor, while he particularly thanked Professor Mrs. Deligiorgi for the collaboration and the exquisite co-ordination of the whole process. Soon thereafter, Mr. Navridis congratulated the two scholars, as well as all students of the same Department and he promised that our company will always embrace excellent students and will reward their efforts.  Finally, he mentioned that the scholarships at the Tirana University bear also a name, as those in the University of Bucharest. The scholarships are called “Professor Vassos Karageorgiou”, thereby honoring a prominent philologist, Mr. Navridis was lucky enough to be his student in an Athens Public School.
