THE GREEK FOOD FESTIVAL, ‘GR-EAT’, TIRANA , NOVEMBER 2016

The three-day modular event carried out to display and promote greek products, which took place within the context of the Greek Food Festival in Tirana under the distinctive title “GR-EAT”, was organized on the initiative of the Greek Embassy in collaboration with the Association of Greek Enterprises in Tirana and achieved considerable success. The events took place at the new luxurious Plaza Tirana Hotel, which is considered to be a mixed investment of both Greek and Albanian interests.

The event’s mission was to provide professional business people and consumers with the opportunity to become acquainted with the quality and superiority of Greek Delicatessen goods such as botargo, olive oil, olives, wine, cheese (feta, manouri), yogurt, rusks, mastic, saffron, greek spices and herbs, pastries, honey, marmalades, jams, ouzo, tsipouro, beverages and other packaged foodstuffs accompanied with other gastronomic experiences, music and a set of rather stimulating visual and auditory material pertinent to some of the most attractive touristic destinations in Greece.

To promote the «GREEK FOOD FESTIVAL» more effectively, a special webpage was designed available on www.windowtogreece.al, where all relevant information items (invitations, agenda, menu) had been posted together with special television commercials based on the motto «GR-EAT», particularly designed for the Festival. At the same time a talk show and a TV cooking program were broadcasted aiming to better demonstrate the considered actions taken. On our behalf, Mr. Efthymios Navridis along with other corporate executives from our branch in Tirana did attend the event.

A detailed evaluation note regarding the Festival is available on the webpage of the Greek Liaison Offices of Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Greek embassy in Tirana on http://www.agora.mfa.gr/infofiles-menu?view=infofile&id=57437.
