RELEASE OF FOUR NEW PROJECT NOTICES, ESPA 2014-2020, FEBRUARY 2016

Four new project notices within the framework of the Operational Program Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship & Innovation – EPAnEK of the National Strategic Reference Framework (ESPA) 2014-2020 were published on 11 February 2016 and are accessible for all interested parties. According to the statement issued, these projects aim to promote an intelligent growth, with more effective investments, without exclusions, in education,  research and innovation, with particular emphasis on the creation of new sustainable jobs and poverty reduction.

In particular, the new programs for businesses and individuals aim to:

 • “Enhance the competitiveness of very small and small enterprises in the new markets”, focusing to the quality improvement of their products and services or to the development of new products/services, which will meet specific market needs. In addition, the investment proposals may target the cost reduction or increase the efficiency of operational and production processes.

•  “Assist  Tourism small and medium size companies for their modernization and the qualitative upgrade of services provided”, seeking to enhance the existing investment projects of very small, small and medium size tourism companies of all sectors for the modernization of their infrastructure and operation, their quality improvement and business enrichment, as well as the upgrading and certification of their products and services, aiming at the increase of their competitiveness in the domestic and international tourism market.

• “Foster the self-employment of University graduates”, aiming at active social inclusion and the development of human resource capacity, supporting unemployed and self-employed graduates for starting/supporting their professional activity relevant to their specialty and the organization of an independent workplace. 

• “Start up activity”, relating to the establishment of new small and very small businesses by  unemployed and those engaged in an economic activity without an employment – based relationship aiming at the establishment of  very small and small viable businesses emphasizing on innovative business plans and boosting employment by creating new sustainable positions
