PUBLIC POWER CORPORATION: A NEW SUBSIDIARY IN ALBANIA, SEPTEMBER 2016

In an announcement on the 20th September 2016 the Public Power Corporation formally confirmed the relevant decision of its Board of Directors for the establishment of a subsidiary company in Albania under the corporate name ‘PPC Albania’.

The 100% subsidiary will have a registered seat in Tirana and its paid-up capital will be 150.000€. The ‘PPC Albania’  will initially trade electric energy in view to become active in the production-distribution as well.

As stated by the President and Managing Director of the Public Power Corporation in his speech during the “Workshop Developing Albania’s Hydroelectric Potential”, organized on the 3d June 2016 in Tirana: “We consider Albania, a friendly country, as a growth area of paramount importance for the development of our business activities. We would like to develop business partnerships with public and local private companies for investment on Hydroelectric Power Stations and production of Soft Energy employing any known technology, as well as, production of all accessories for their operation and exploitation.
