OUR COMPANY’S SPONSORED SCHOLARSHIP AWARD CEREMONY, BUCHAREST, 1.10.2015

In a modest ceremony, held on Wednesday October 1st 2015, in the building of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Bucharest, Mr Efthymios Navridis awarded a scholarship, under the name “Professor Klimis Navridis”, sponsored by our company,  to an honors student at the 3d year of the Department of Modern Greek Studies, in the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature of the University of Bucharest, who was distinguished in this subject area.

The sponsorship was initiated after a recommendation by the Associate Professor of Modern Greek Studies at the University of Bucharest and Secretary of the Management Board of the European Society for Modern Greek Studies Mr Tudor Dinu, widely known for his rich and fruitful contribution to the research and teaching of modern Greek literature and language in Romania and abroad.

The ceremony held under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty Mr Liviu Franga and Professor Mr Tudor Dinu, was honored by the presence of the ambassadors of Greece and Cyprus in Bucharest, Mr Grigoris Vasilokostantakis and Dimitris Chatziargyriou and attended by students of the Department.

Addressing this audience, Mr. Efthymios Navridis stressed the ongoing objective of our company to reward good academic performance and to participate actively in the advancement of Greek linguistics and literature in countries in which our company operates. This year’s annual sponsored scholarship is a first symbolic gesture, reflecting our commitment for further encouragement of young scientists, who contribute with their exceptional performance  to the dissemination of Greek culture and civilization.
