For Τhe 10th Consecutive Year, the “Professor Klimis Navridis” Scholarships at the University of Bucharest
On October 2nd, 2025, the traditional award ceremony for the “Professor Klimis Navridis” scholarships was held in the iconic hall of the University of Bucharest Library, honoring outstanding students from the Department of Modern Greek Language.
For the tenth consecutive year, this initiative has been made possible thanks to the steady and generous support of Mr. Efthymios Navridis, founder of EGNA LAW, who consistently invests in education and the younger generation. Through this significant contribution, three excellent students are rewarded for their academic performance, while at the same time, the teaching of the Greek language is strengthened and Greek culture is promoted in Romania.
As in every year, Mr. Efthymios Navridis also donated a book — The Great Chimera by M. Karagatsis — further reinforcing the connection between knowledge, Greek literature, and the educational mission of the scholarship.
The event was honored by the presence of the Ambassador of Greece to Romania, Ms. Evangelia Grammatika, and the Ambassador of Cyprus, Mr. Periklis Stivaros, verifying the importance of this initiative.
A particularly special moment was the speech delivered by Professor and Academician Mr. Gheorghe Chivu, who highlighted the intertemporal role of the Greek language throughout history.
