A BRIEF COMPENDIUM OF USEFUL INFORMATION FOR TAX AND CUSTOMS ISSUES, SEPTEMBER 2016

The General Secretariat for Public Revenue of the Greek Ministry of Finance has published (September 2016) on its website http://www.publicrevenue.gr/, a brief compendium entitled ‘Compendium of Tax and Customs Issues’.

The compendium contains useful information for the existing regime in our country regarding inheritage tax, donations, parental benefits, real estate transfers, consolidated tax on property ownership (ENFIA), special property tax, VAT, Tax Registration Number, etc.

In addition, the customs issues section contains information regarding the tax exemptions in the case of household removals of individuals coming to Greece from their permanent residence in a foreign country, the temporary admition, with no import charges and dues, of cars used by individuals for private purposes, as well as, the value allowed of merchandise and the amount of tobacco and alcoholic beverages which contained in the personal bagages of third country visitors.
