17th BALKAN GATHERING, 17-19 May in Thessaloniki
Fourteen (14) years after the undeniably successful organization of BALKAN GATHERING Mr. Efthymios Navridis was in charge of and that took place in PORTO CARRAS, in Chalkidiki, he had the pleasure and honor to organize the 17th BALKAN GATHERING in Thessaloniki on the weekend of 17-19 May, with quite interesting topics stimulating fruitful discussions on areas such as:
SEE and beyond. Respect the other for being respected. Peace is not just the absence of conflicts; it is the preeminence of law and justice.
The participants, friends from the Balkans, but also from the United States of America, exchanged thoughts and reflections during the conference proceedings and the individual formal and informal events that took place at the Mediterranean Palace Hotel, in a very fulfilling atmosphere on the success of the event.
It has been a great honour for Mr. Navridis and all the participants, the presence of the Mayor of Thessaloniki, Mr. Stelios Angeloudis, of the former Vice President of the Greek Government and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Dr. Evangelos Venizelos, of the Minister of State, Hellenic Republic Mr. Makis Voridis, as well as of the President of the Parliamentary Assembly, Council of Europe, Mr. Theodoros Roussopoulos, who closed the Gathering with his speech.
